Fun with GarageBand part 1

Recently I received about a million GarageBand loops from my buddy Marcin and I've been messing around with them to get the feel of the program. Normally I record on ProTools but I like the software instruments and loops on Apple's GarageBand. A few of my new songs require some complex sounds that I can only do with in GarageBand so I decided to screw around with it for a while. This is one I threw together last night. I played no instruments. It's only loops and midi. Check it:

We're On YouTube

We're always looking for the best ways to spread the word about the new music. This time around we decided to throw it out on YouTube. It's really the easiest way for people to tell their friends about it. Just send them on over to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EebJs5vW-jI to hear the song with a shot of the single art, and please send people over to YouTube check it out.

On Deck Circle

Now that the first single "Love Shaped Hole" has been released it's time to focus our direction on what's next. Currently there are many songs fighting their way on and off the album. Every song is going through a transition and if any song can't support the dramatic dynamic feel of the album then it will get left off. We know that the next single is "Alive Like You," but what's next?

Here is a list of songs that have solidified their spot on the album:

Voodoo Crimes: A dark rocker that flirts Led Zeppelin with Muse

Questions Of: A soft acoustic guitar/ piano driven electronic rock ballad. This is actually the first guitar riff I ever wrote. 11 years later and it's finally going to be finished.

Me and The Lord Are Gonna Have Words: A fast rocking, crunchy guitar driven blues shuffle.

Love To Me: A dark, loveless, soul searching ballad with hints of eastern musical dynamics.

If you've been following for a while you may have seen this previous post regarding a stripped acoustic album. Well fear not... most of the songs revealed there will appear in some form or another on "The Diaries of Cam DeBarcho"

To hold you over while you wait for the next single I present my podcast listeners with a demo of "Alive Like You"

Enjoy!!
